NGO financial management

Good financial management allows a permanent analysis to be made and the received information to be used effectively for the organization’s development. The aim of the training is to acquaint the participants with the basics of NGO financial management and book-keeping. The training also aims at helping the participants in developing and maintaining of book-keeping system and a system for preservation of documentation in line with the needs of the organizations. During the training the most frequent difficulties and mistakes are discussed, as well as examples for a well-organized and working management of the financial funds. Participants will have an opportunity to evaluate the financial systems of their organizations and to outline directions for their development.

The topics included in the training are:

 

  • Main components of the financial management; 
  • Financial planning; 
  • Procedures for monitoring and control; 
  • Combining of for-profit and non-profit activity; 
  • Legislation; 
  • Accounting and annual financial report elaboration.

The training is appropriate for managers, accountants and employees, who wish to increase their knowledge for effective financial governance of an NGO.
