WCIF opens a new call for proposals – "Living Heritage 2007" programme

Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) announces a competition for financing of projects under “Living Heritage 2007” programme.
“Living Heritage 2007” programme is designed to support initiatives for preservation and presenting of the local folklore and non-material heritage with the active participation on behalf of the local citizens.
Apart from preservation and development of the traditions, the programme is aimed at motivating and uniting the local citizens in implementation of these initiatives that are based on the principle of the voluntary participation and partnership.
An additional accent in the programme will be attracting of young people who would like to take part in the examining, preservation and popularization of the local cultural heritage.
The programme will be implemented in different parts of Bulgaria in order more diversified specific local conditions, ideas and possibilities for local cultural heritage development and preservation to be represented.
In the framework of the programme 10 projects at a value of some 4,000 leva each will be financed. Most of the applicants are expected to apply for 2,500 to 3,000 leva.
The projects will be implemented for a period of five months from the beginning of July to November 2007.
The application deadline is set for June 04, 2007.
