Over 500 project ideas for WCIF call for proposals for initiatives

Category: Tenders

At 17 o’clock on February 1, 2007 expired the deadline for application for financing of  “initiatives that are solving concrete problems of the people from a certain village, town or residential complex”.

The call for proposals raised an extremely high interest among community centres, school boards of trustees, clubs of pensioners and plenty of non-registered groups from the whole country.

The processing of the documents still goes on, but we can say that up to now we have received over 500 project ideas. Unfortunately some of the received applications do not fulfill the formal requirements for participation in the call for proposals. Many organizations have sent descriptions of their ideas long 3 - 4 or even 11 pages, while in the instructions it is written that the description of the organization and the idea should be up to 1 page long each.

Until the beginning of the next week all who have sent their proposals will receive a confirmation and an incoming number. A list of the applicants will be published on WCIF web site.

We inform you in advance that a delay of the final answer regarding if a certain idea has been approved is possible due to the extremely big number of applicants.

We wish luck to all!
