Best Fundraising Campaign Award

In order to give publicity to successful fundraising campaigns in Bulgaria, carried out in the last several years, and in order to popularize good charity practices, Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) set up a best fundraising campaign annual award.
The award will be bestowed to organizations and companies that have successfully raised funds in 2004 and 2005. Criteria for evaluation of the campaigns will be achieved financial results, transparency and efficiency of the raised funds distribution, involved adherents, innovation in the approaches and impact on the philanthropic practices and attitudes in Bulgaria.
By May 15, 2006 organizations, institutions and companies can nominate their campaigns with the application form that can be found on the website www.wcif-bg.org or in the office of WCIF (Sofia, 78 Knyaz Boris I Str.).
The applicants will be evaluated by a jury: Biser Manolov – Chairman of Management Board of Bulgarian Deposit Insurance Fund (BDIF), Valeri Manchev – notary, Veronika Bilski - Program Associate of Trust for Civil Society in Central & Eastern Europe ("CEE Trust"), prof. Georgi Lozanov, Neil Buhne – Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Bulgaria, Nikolay Penchev – editor in chief of 168 chasa weekly, Ralitsa Again – deputy chair of Financial Supervision Commission, Rumiana Georgieva – member of Bulgarian National Audit Office.
The prizes will be awarded on a special ceremony in June 2006.
