Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) published a book describing the fundraising experience of 20 non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria under the programme for development of the non-governmental sector “Efficiency and Effectiveness for change”. The title of the book is “Mission possible? Fundraising in Bulgaria” and it can be found at WCIF office.

We, Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation, hope that the description of the experience of these 20 relatively small non-governmental organizations from different regions of Bulgaria will encourage others as well to take the difficult, but sensible road of raising funds from local resources.

We think that the sincerely shared experience of the organizations will help their colleagues to find their own way for providing financial resources for their own organizations and will partly protect them not to do their own mistakes.

With this book we would like to show also that one successful programme of WCIF recovers the somehow forgotten idea that the individual responsibility, trust, care and philanthropy are of a significant importance for life in one democratic society.
