FIB together with WCIF gave a scholarship to a girl from orphanage

First Investment Bank together with Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) gave a scholarship to a girl from an orphanage for studying at a University. The scholarship was given to Miglena Petrova from orphanage “Olga Skobeleva” in Plovdiv for studying “Business management” at Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”. PIB gave the scholarship to Miglena because to her high final grades at the secondary school for economics in Plovdiv.

On 16.10.2006 director of the FIB branch in Plovdiv, Tania Kostadinova, officially handed in a PIB debit card to Miglena on which she’ll receive her monthly scholarship of 200 lv.

Giving a scholarship to bright children from orphanages is one of the many initiatives, implemented under “Social responsibility of First Investment Bank” fund.

“Social responsibility of First Investment Bank” fund, a joint initiative between FIB and WCIF, was launched in 2005. In March 2005 on the second session of the fund 7 projects concerning the orphanages in the towns Gabrovo, Plovdiv, Russe, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Trun and Doganovo village were approved for financing. The total value of the extended funds stand at 25,362 Bulgarian levs, as each project has received financing from 3,100 levs to 4,00 levs. 
In 2005 the projects are also directed to successful adaptation of children from orphanages to the real life.
