Official launch of Zaedno.bg on May 15, 2005 in BTA

The web site aims at uniting the efforts of non-governmental organizations, institutions and citizens for solving of important for Bulgarian society problems.

At the press conference in BTA spoke the executive director of WCIF, Iliyana Nikolova, as well as directors of some of the organizations with campaigns at www.zaedno.bg – Antoaneta Georgieva, Executive Director of Face to Face Bulgaria, Stanimira Hadzimitova, Executive Director of Bulgarian Fund for Women and Plamen Maslarov, Director of Bulgarian National Film Archive. They all spoke about the necessity of introducing and popularizing of good donation practices that could lead to effective fundraising and distribution of funds in Bulgaria. Through www.zaedno.bg WCIF wants to apply in our country the online donation method that has proved its efficiency all over the world, Iliyana Nikolova said.

The press conference was also attended by Asen Katsov, managing director of RIZN Communication Design, the web-design studio that has developed www.zaedno.bg and that is a partner of Zaedno.bg. Ljubomir Lazarov, representative of Radio Bulgaria – another partner of Zaedno.bg, spoke at the press conference as well.

The first campaigns, published on the web site, are for raising funds for affected by the floods, for improvement of social skills of children from institutions, for rеpair of homes of single mothers, for training of socially disadvantaged youths in naval professions, for environmental protection and for restoration and preservation of the Bulgarian National Film Archive films.

WCIF initiative is so far supported by Maria Grozdeva, NetInfo BG, First Investment Bank, ePay.bg Ltd, Digital Systems Ltd, Bulgarian News Agency, Face to Face Bulgaria, Bulgarian National Radio and Radio Bulgaria.
