Zaedno.bg received "BG site 2006" award

The web site for online donations Zaedno.bg, an initiative of Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF), received “BG site 2006” award for best web site in “Society” category.

The award was given to WCIF executive director, Iliyana Nikolova, at an official ceremony for bestowing of BG site awards that took place on November 17, 2006 in Youth theatre "Nikolai Binev" in Sofia.

While receiving the award Iliyana Nikolova appealed to the public to think over such values as goodness, sympathy an responsibility to the society and to donate for some of the charity campaigns published on Zaedno.bg.

For us, the creators of Zaedno.bg, the award of Bulgarian Web Association is extremely important as it is a confirmation that we are moving in the right direction in realization of our noble goals! It is also an evidence how the new technologies can be used effectively for raising funds for charity.

We all already know that we can find information in Internet and can do shopping online, but we are not still used to the fact that we can help through Internet. That’s exactly what Zaedno.bg is trying to show – that helping fast and easily through Internet is already possible in Bulgaria as well and that it can be of use for the whole society.
