"My roots" Fundraising Campaign

"Workshop for Civic Initiatives" Foundation (WCIF) has launched “My roots” fundraising campaign for continuation of the “Living Heritage” program that includes projects, connected with the cultural and historical heritage.

WCIF will use the photo exhibition "Living Heritage" as a tool for the fundraising campaign by putting the photo prints out to lease. Companies and institutions can lease the photo prints and exhibit them in their offices. Thus these office premises can gain a more artistic and “living” outlook and at the same time an important for all Bulgarians cause – preservation and reviving of the country’s cultural and historic heritage – will be supported.

The photo exhibition includes 70 proffesional photo prints – views of the places and the communities that have been part of the "Living Heritage" program in Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Romania. The main message of the photo prints is that the heritage – nature, culture, customs, traditions and memories – “lives” in people’s souls and minds and can be used as a resource for local development. Photo prints also reveal the specific creative atmosphere of the working process during the program’s implementation.

The photo prints can be currently leased at WCIF office, but soon they also could be seen in the electronic catalogue with the photo prints that will be published on WCIF website.

"My roots" fundraising campiagn is supported by Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and British-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce.
