WCIF receives nominations for Zaedno annual fundraising award

Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) starts receiving nominations for the second edition of the best fundraising campaign annual awards “Zaedno” (zaedno means together). The winners in the different categories will receive a special charter and a statuette. The winner in the category - best fundraising campaign of an NGO will receive the special award of 2,000 leva. The application deadline is set for July 2, 2007.

In 2006 the jury bestowed awards to five campaigns. The biggest award was given to “St.st. Kiril i Metodi” primary school in Burkachevo village, the award for most innovative campaign was given to Globul (Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile), awards for best fundraising campaign of an NGO were given to “We exist as well” association and to the “Children of Ruse” foundation and at last but not least Community donors’ forum – Stara Zagora received the award in the category “most raised funds” for its campaign – “The children – our future”.

In 2007 WCIF organises again “Zaedno” awards competition in order to encourage the people and the institutions that have taken up the noble task to raise funds for socially significant causes. We want to popularize the good fundraising practices as we are convinced that in this field there are more and more professionals in Bulgaria who achieve remarkable results for the benefit of the whole Bulgarian society.

For participation in “Zaedno” awards competition can be nominated organisations and institutions that have carried out fundraising campaigns within the period from June 2006 to July 2007. Individuals cannot be nominated for participation in the competition. Each organisation or institution can be nominated by another organisation, institution or individual or can be nominated by itself.

For participation in the contest you must submit documents in 2 copies (an original and a copy) plus a copy on a CD or diskette by July 2, 2007 at WCIF office (Sofia 1000, Knyaz Boris I str. № 78). Documents sent by an e-mail or by fax won’t be received.

The documents must include:

1. A filled in application form for nomination of the campaign.
2. Visual materials from the campaign – photos, leaflets
