WCIF has funded more than 600 projects of civil groups and organizations in the sphere of local development and has thus invested over 3.6 million Bulgarian leva (BGN) in the development of Bulgaria. The organizations supported by WCIF have additionally attracted over 350 thousand leva. WCIF is the first Bulgarian foundation hosting the first corporate donor's fund managed by a non-governmental organization - the fund "Social responsibility" of First Investment Bank (established in 2004).

WCIF constantly announces new opportunities for funding civil organizations.  WCIF announces both calls for proposals with fixed application deadlines and on-going programs for cpecific fields.

All calls for proposals are published on the WCIF web site. The calls for proposals with fixed application deadlines are published at least a month and a half prior the deadline. Information about calls for proposals is also disseminated by a number of information bulletins, publications in electronic media and specialized web sites, through sending information to former and current participants in WCIF programs, as well as through letters to the local authorities. 

WCIF does not provide funding to organizations outside the announced calls.
