Civil society and its active participation in the process of changing the country would be impossible without a conscious and meaningful support of individuals, entrepreneurs and companies with philanthropic notions, charity motivation or a desire for voluntary work. Developing private philantrhropy is one of the opportunities for citizens, united in different civil organisations to change their life for the better without depending on public money or international aid.

WCIF supports and promotes philanthropy in Bulgaria and works actively towards developing permanent philantrhopy notions. We provide knowledge and skills to civil organisations about working with donors in the form of consultations and trainings, support their fundraising efforts by noting their significant achivements through the "Zaedno" (Together) Awards for best fundraising campaign. Also, we support their fundraising efforts through the zaedno.bg website.

WCIF realises the significance of the media for philanthropy development. We keep track of journalistic materials in the field of philanthropy and present the Zaedno Awards to printed and electronic media. The contribution of independent voices, of individual citizens, who have a  stance on the issues of philanthropy we note by presenting the "Civil position provoking debate" Award. We work with the representattives of  the business in the country and provide them with different opportunities to show their commitment to society.
